DALLAS, TX – Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy teams will head to Dallas, TX on March 18 – 26 to compete in the Dallas Cup and Generation Adidas Cup against some of the top teams from around the world. This will be another opportunity to show that Grande Sports Academy is a home to some of the best young soccer players in the United States.
RSL-AZ U-17/18 received an invitation to the prestigious Dallas Cup Super Group for the second year in a row and was drawn into Group B with England’s Everton FC, Japan’s Kyoto Sanga F.C. and once again with Mexico’s Tigres UANL. They will need to finish first in the group or as the top runner up to advance to the semifinals of the competition. RSL-AZ and FC Dallas are the only U.S. teams besides U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team that will compete in the Gordon Jago Super Group.
RSL-AZ U-15/16 was unfortunately not able to repeat their successful 2015 qualifying campaign for the Generation adidas Cup “Champions Division”, but will still participate in the “Premier Division”. They were drawn into Group A with Houston Dynamo, DC United and Brazil’s C.A. Paranaense. RSL-AZ U-15/16 will need to win their group to advance to the semifinals.
