CASA GRANDE, ARIZ. – After three successful tournament campaigns in as many weeks, Real Salt Lake- Arizona Elite teams shift gears a bit, and look to find success at the Far West Regional League this weekend. Meanwhile, the RSL-AZ Academy sides head back to California, for a second chance at victory against a tough opponent.
Real Salt Lake- Arizona Elite teams are coming off a championship finish at the Blackhawks Max Shacknai Invitational last weekend, but RSL-AZ Elite U-16, who have won two out of the last three trophies will not be participating in league play this weekend. Only the RSL-AZ Elite U-18 and U-17 teams will participate this go around.
RSL-AZ U-16 and U-15 will continue Far West Regional League play March 25-27.
On the Academy side, both teams are headed back to California to face Real So Cal for the third time in two months. RSL-AZ Academy U-17/18 will be looking to finally get a win against Real So Cal after drawing the last two games 1-1, and 3-3.
At the same time, RSL-AZ Academy U-15/16 will be looking to prove that it is the dominant side, after splitting its last two games against Real So Cal 0-3, 2-0.
Both games will be held this Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. respectively at the Oak Park High School stadium, in Oak Park, California.
