Casa Grande, Ariz.- Another spectacular road trip for Real Salt Lake- Arizona Elite U-18 and U-16, as both teams managed a perfect weekend at the West Coast College Showcase in Irvine, California.
RSL-AZ U-16 kicked off the weekend in style with a 5-0 win against RSF Attack Academy. Chris Ramirez found the back of the net just seven minutes into the match, and six minutes later, Kevin Garcia doubled RSL’s lead with a goal of his own. Christian Marion beat the RSF Attack keeper just before the whistle to catapult RSL to a 3-0 lead going into the half.
Nicholas Fernandez and Alejandro Alcantara scored in the second half to give RSL the five-goal-win.
RSL-AZ U-18 followed up with a formidable performance of their own against SD Surf Academy. Goals from Octavio Ocampo, Nikolai Shumov, Jesus Garcia, Mathias Baboun, Arthur Ribas, Bradford Jean, and Kristopher Fourcand gave them a 7-2 win over their opponents.
The rest of the weekend resulted in a series of impressive performances and victories as both teams went undefeated through six combined games.
