CASA GRANDE, ARIZ.- Real Salt Lake- Arizona Academy and Elite teams are in for a big weekend, as the Elite sides look to capture a third tournament win in as many weeks and the Academy sides return from California for a home game in the Development Academy League.
The Real Salt Lake- Arizona Elite teams have shown tremendous form in the past couple of weeks. RSL-AZ Elite U-18 and U-15 took first and third place respectively at the President’s Day Tournament on Monday, and RSL-AZ Elite U-16 won the SC del Sol Desert Classic two weeks ago.
All three teams will now return to the pitch this weekend to compete in the 2016 Blackhawks Max Shacknai Invitational, hosted by Scottsdale Soccer. All matches will be held at the Reach 11 Sports Complex in North Phoenix.
In Casa Grande, both RSL-AZ U-17/18 and 15/16 are back to continue U.S. Soccer Development Academy play. The teams will be looking to bounce back after a loss and a draw respectively against the LA Galaxy two weeks ago.
They will be facing a De Anza Force side that has managed only one win this year.
RSL-AZ U-17/18 will play this Saturday at Grande Sports World field 7 at 10:00 a.m. RSL-AZ U-15/16 will play on the same field at 12:30 p.m. that day.
