CASA GRANDE, Ariz. – Grande Sports Academy announced Tuesday that Board Certified Athletic Trainer Aaron Powell has been named the new Athletic Trainer/Strength and Conditioning Coach for Grande Sports Academy and Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy.
Powell previously worked with Real Salt Lake from 2012-13 as an intern athletic trainer while completing his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at the University of Utah.
After graduating from Utah, Powell enrolled at Georgia State University to earn his Master of Science in Sports Medicine. While attending GSU, Powell served as graduate assistant athletic trainer at the school and as certified athletic trainer for the Atlanta Silverbacks.
Powell replaces Marshall Stoddard on the academy staff, who, along with former Assistant Coach Freddy Juarez, joined the staff of Real Monarchs to lead the team in its inaugural season in USL PRO.
