SANDY, Utah – Real Monarchs announced Tuesday that Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy Assistant Coach Freddy Juarez has been named the inaugural Head Coach of the USL PRO side ahead of its first season of play.

Juarez, who has been with the Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy since its initial 2010-2011 season in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, has helped lead the team to massive success and a reputation as one of the top soccer academies in the United States.

Alongside a coaching staff featuring the likes of Martin Vasquez, Tony Bruce, Michael Kraus and Ignacio Hernandez at the Academy, Juarez helped lead the RSL-AZ U-15/16 side to the 2012-13 USSDA National Championship and 2014-15 final.

Joining Juarez at the Monarchs will be Academy Trainer Marshall Stoddard, who returns to his home state of Utah after originally joining RSL-AZ for the 2012-13 championship run.

Real Monarchs will kick off their debut USL PRO season beginning in March 2015 at Rio Tinto Stadium, the home of parent club Real Salt Lake.

Announcements concerning replacements for Juarez and Stoddard on the Academy staff are expected to come in the near future as the RSL-AZ Academy resumes Development Academy play in mid-January.
