IRVINE, Calif. – In the first action of the 2015/16 Season, Real Salt Lake-Arizona Elite U-18 and U-16 took part in the 37th Annual NHB Cup, hoping to become the second RSL-AZ team to win the tournament after the 18s took the trophy home back in 2012.
Both teams showed expected growing pains in their first games of the year, looking like teams that have only been playing together for a month. However, the tournament finished on a high note for both squads, with the 18s beating LA Galaxy South Bay Navy 3-1 and the 16s triumphing over Beach FC by a score of 2-1.
