CASA GRANDE, Ariz. – Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy U-17/18 take the next step on their journey toward the U.S. Soccer Development Academy final on Tuesday, June 23 as the USSDA playoffs kick off at Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana.
RSL-AZ U-17/18 (32-3-4) enter playoffs as the number two ranked team in the country and are in Group B with Concorde Fire (17-12-7), FC Dallas (15-6-6) and Chicago Magic PSG (14-6-7).
With only the group winner advancing to the next round, the Claret-and-Cobalt will have to be at their best in all three group games in order to advance to the quarterfinals and host their opponents at Grande Sports World.
If you won’t be in Indiana, RSL-AZ U-17/18’s second group stage game against FC Dallas was selected by U.S. Soccer to be streamed live online. Watch the game on YouTube at 3:30 p.m. in Arizona on Wednesday, June 24 to catch the game.
RSL-AZ U-15/16 (17-13-9) finished the regular season one spot short of the playoffs and will be the first team in Grande Sports Academy history to participate in the showcase instead of playoffs. The 16s will play Vardar (12-11-4), Montreal Impact FC (10-11-5) and a third opponent to-be-determined.
