CASA GRANDE, Ariz. – Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy resumes U.S. Soccer Development Academy action this weekend while the Elites look to continue their strong start to the Arizona State League season in the final weekend of September.

RSL-AZ Elite U-18 (1-0-0) take on Barcelona AZ (0-1-1) in the first of two Elite games at Fear Farm Sports Complex on Saturday. At the Valparaiso United Invitational Tournament last weekend, the Elite U-18s defeated Barcelona AZ by a score of 2-0 in the group stage.

In the second half of Arizona State League action, RSL-AZ Elite U-17 (1-0-0) face off against Sereno (2-0-0) in a matchup of two teams with perfect records in the early weeks of the season. The Elite U-17s will look to continue their hot run of form following their Valparaiso Invitational championship win.

On Saturday evening, RSL-AZ Academy U-17/18 and U-15/16 face off against Chivas USA in a USSDA doubleheader. RSL-AZ U-17/18 (2-0-1) will take the field first against Chivas (2-2-0). Last season, the 18s defeated Chivas USA in convincing fashion at Grande Sports World in a 4-0 win.

In the first night game of the season, RSL-AZ U-15/16 (1-1-1) cap off the weekend’s action against Chivas USA (1-2-1). The 16s will attempt to make a habit out of winning after their 3-0 win over Strikers FC in Santa Ana earlier this month.
