CASA GRANDE, Ariz. – Grande Sports Academy alumnus Jason Eng has become the 14th player in academy history to sign a professional contract, joining Hong Kong Rangers FC of the Hong Kong Premier League.

Hong Kong Rangers FC are one of nine teams competing in the inaugural season of the Hong Kong Premier League. Founded in 1960, the Rangers finished in fifth place out of twelve teams in the 2013-14 season of the Hong Kong First Division League.

In the 2012-13 U.S. Soccer Development Academy season, Eng played 32 games with Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy U-15/16, starting in 30 and scoring one goal. Eng started and played all 80 minutes in the USSDA final victory against Solar Chelsea SC.

In the 2011-12 USSDA season, Eng played in 21 games for the Claret-and-Cobalt, starting twice and scoring one goal.

Hong Kong Rangers FC dropped their first match of the season on the road 1-0 to Sky Yuen Long. They next take the field on Sunday, September 21 against Fu Tai Po at Sham Shui Po Sports Ground.
