IRVINE, Calif. – Real Salt Lake-Arizona Elite U-16 and U-18 open the 2014-15 season this weekend in Southern California at the 36th Annual North Huntington Beach Cup.
RSL-AZ Elite U-18 will compete at UC Irvine, where they’ll face CDA Slammers 96, FC Golden State White and Impact Force in Group A. RSL-AZ Elite U-16 take the field at Cerritos College, facing off against FC Golden State Black, Aztecs FC Premier and Albion OC Cruz in Group D.
The top two finishers from each group will advance to the quarterfinal round of the tournament. Last season, RSL-AZ U-16 advanced to the quarterfinals while the U-18s failed to advance from the group stage.
RSL-AZ Elite U-18 kick-off the competition on Saturday, August 30 against CDA Slammers at 8:00 a.m. on UC Irvine Field 1. RSL-AZ Elite U-16 then play their first match starting at 10:40 a.m. on Cerritos College Field 2.
