COLUMBUS – Grande Sports Academy alumnus Romain Gall has signed with the Columbus Crew via Major League Soccer’s weighted lottery.
Gall, 19, becomes the ninth GSA alumni to sign with an MLS team, joining Eriq Zavaleta with Seattle Sounders FC and seven others with Real Salt Lake. 13 players in the four-year history of Grande Sports Academy have signed professional contracts.
Gall played with Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy during the 2010-11 U.S. Soccer Development Academy season, scoring 6 goals in 30 games en route to RSL-AZ U-15/16’s third place finish in their inaugural year.
After the 2010-11 season, Gall joined FC Lorient in France, making six appearances and scoring one goal with the reserve team in 2014.
In addition, Gall is a regular of the U.S. National Team, most recently playing with the U-20 MNT during their NTC Invitational victory in Carson, California.
