The Red Bulls take on fellow MLS side FC Dallas at 6:00 PM ET in Casa Grande, AZ. FC Dallas is coming off a 7-0 preseason win over the Arizona Sahuaros last Saturday night. Earlier this preseason, the Hoops captured the Disney Cup, beating in-state rival Houston Dynamo in the final. New York posted a 3-1 win over FC Tucson and a 2-2 draw with Sporting Kansas City over the weekend in the Desert Cup in Tucson, AZ.
Veteran play-by-play announcer Kenn Tomasch will be painting the word picture for the match.
Last season, the Red Bulls went 1-0-1 against the Western Conference Champions. In their first meeting on April 17 at Red Bull Arena, New York battled back from a one-goal deficit to win 2-1 in dramatic fashion. In the return fixture on September 16 at Pizza Hut Park, the Red Bulls came back again, benefiting from an FC Dallas own goal to earn a 2-2 draw.
On Tuesday night, the Red Bulls take on Mexico’s Club Atlas de Guadalajara at University of Phoenix Stadium at 10:00 PM ET. The match, called “Red Bull Reto Del Sol” or “Challenge of the Sun”, will be televised live, locally on MSG Plus, Nationally by ESPN Deportes. The game will also be available for international audiences on ESPN in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean and online at ESPNPlay.com. It will also be shown tape delayed on ESPN Dos networks.
