U.S. Soccer Representatives Participating in FIFA FUTURO III Coaching Education Course

U.S. Under-20 MNT head coach Thomas Rongen and U.S. U-18 WNT coach Dave Chesler, along with Technical Advisors Chris Brewer, Louis Mateus, and Rene Miramontes, are among 26 coaches from across the country participating in the FIFA FUTURO III course from Oct. 16-27 in Casa Grande, Ariz.

U.S. Under-20 MNT head coach Thomas Rongen and U.S. U-18 WNT coach Dave Chesler, along with Technical Advisors Chris Brewer, Louis Mateus, and Rene Miramontes, are among 26 coaches from across the country participating in the FIFA FUTURO III course from Oct. 16-27 in Casa Grande, Ariz.

This course is geared towards the education of national instructors and regional instructors and the promotion of soccer across the world. The goal of the FIFA FUTURO III program is to “teach the teachers” and build coaching education programs across the world. FIFA is looking to increase of number and quality of development programs in all their member associations

Along with the youth national team coaches and Technical Advisors, Academy coaches who have won post-season awards during the past three years were invited, along with representatives from U.S. Youth Soccer’s Coaching Committee and the NSCAA, and Major League Soccer’s Director of Player Development Alfonso Mondelo. The participants have field and classroom sessions each day, and are also required to present on a designated topic at the end of the program.

The 11 day course is led by FIFA instructors Erich Rutemöller and Dick Bate. Joining Rutemöller and Bate are three FIFA physios in Mario Bizzini, Michael Voight and Holly Silvers, who will teach the FIFA 11+ warm up program.
